Black Walnut

This American made kalimba is beautiful both in appearance and sound. Made of Black Walnut wood. Available in Diatonic* and Pentatonic (shown)** scale. Includes a song booklet. This flat board style may be placed on top of your hand drum to amplify its sound. Overall size is 6-1/4" tall, 3" wide and 1-1/2" thick (cedar board is 1/2" thick).

*The Diatonic Scale itself is an eight note scale do- re- mi, etc. with which simple melodies can be played.

**The Pentatonic Scale is a five note scale and is in the key of G: D-E-G-A-B-D-E-G. Pentatonic Scales are very common and are found all over the world, including but not limited to Celtic folk music, Hungarian folk music, West African music, African-American spirituals, American blues and rock music, Sami joik singing, and many children's songs.
