	Elestial Quartz Crystals... ... carry all the benefits of Quartz (see below) and more. They have long been used in American Indian medicine wheel ceremonies to connect with ancestral spirits for answers to questions and channeling that knowledge to concious thought. In choosing one of these to gaze into, I have found it provides an honest look at what is going on inside myself at the subconcious level and brings things to my concious attention. In working with these crystals, thier energy seems to be more intense where separate crystals are joined together, especially if they are of varying color. This seemed to be most noticeable when placing one at the location of the third eye. I have found that gazing or holding one during mediation has been a very tranquel and enlightening experience. Elestial Quartz crystals can be recognized by all the terminations of separate crystals that are bound together during their formation. They display a layered type of coloring that many times has a darker inside with a lighter outside layer. They also appear with a lighter base and darker tip. Many have a smokey coloring throughout that varies in intensity. Some exhibit a natural etching pattern on their surface which some believe are messages from the ancients. Elestials seem to carry ancient wisdom that help us become aware of how immortal our spiritual self is. They seem to be able to tap into universal knowledge, enhance our current life, and open a door to a place where we may find information about ourselves from the past, present and future. If you are experiencing a time of change, this is a good crystal to help prepare and take you through the transformation. They seem to allow seeing the reason for why the change is needed and clearing the blocks in the way of completing that change. While I have not used them myself for these purposes, I have found several references of them being used for treatment of epilepsy and schizophrenia. Having worked with those effected with those types of disease, I would exercise caution in either of those instances. It would seem that the brain is "wired" differently in those cases, and while a placebo effect can occur after crystal therapy, the results are not permanent in nature. It is here where I part ways with some in the crystal therapy field... medication therapies definitely need to be continued and adheared to in those instances.
