	AGATES A variety of quartz, agate is a multi-banded stone. Opaque to translucent in a variety of colors, it symbolizes the third eye and I have found it to be a powerful healer. It also encourages spiritual growth, maturity and is a protective stone. Blue Lace Agate encourages a calm and contemplative view of life and is especially suited to gentle people who have shades of pale blue in their aura.

	Botswana Agate can be utilized to stimulate exploring the unknown and to further your quest towards an enlightened state. It will encourage a calm view of life which will lead to spiritual maturity and growth.

	Tree Agate encourages inner peace and certainty. It brings us awareness of our own strengths which provides us security and stability.

	Zebra Agate brings understanding and compassion for others. It provides a contemplative attitude that allows us to recognize the deeper aspects of the loving spirit of those around us and to overlook the outer, more superficial aspects they may show. It is also a great aid in balancing personal auras. When this has been done, one will realize a protective effect which harmonizes and stabilizes our health on all levels.

	AMAZONITE Amazonite is pale blue-green to turquoise in color, this stone was used extensively by the ancient Egyptians in many ways. Encourages faith, truth, clear thinking and balances extemes of moods.

	AMBER Amber is a very soft gem that originated as tree resins. Occasionally parts of plants or insects are trapped inside. Colors are light honey to golden red. It's special qualities are: purification, strengthening and soothing of the heart, activation of the spirit. It is one of my favorite "feel good" gems.

	AMETHYST Amethyst is a popular member of the quartz family that covers all shades of lavender and purple. An excellent meditation stone and nicknamed the “Bishop’s Stone”, amethyst has been reputed to encourage sobriety, spirituality, inner peace, and to ease headaches.

	AMETRINE Ametrine is a naturally occuring mix of Amethyst and Citrine. Good for clearing aura of any negativity by replacing it with enrgizing and healing pure white light. Releases blockages in the mental, physical and emotional bodies. Assists in merging personal will with deeper spirituality.

	ANDALUSITE Andalusite is also known as the "Cross Stone" or "Faerie Crosses". These are commonly carried by those wishing to balance the four elements within themselves or for practicing elemental magick. Good for viewing the different parts of ones character along with the emotional, physical and intellectual parts of the being while remaining grounded and unbiased about the results.

	ANGELITE Angelite can take you out of body and assist you in the recall of the out of body experience. It allows you to be comfortable when the soul separates from the physical body and travels to a higher realm such as the dream state and deep meditative states as well as out of body experiences. If you are new to this, it's best to keep a piece of Hematite with you to ensure a good "landing" when you're ready to come back.

	APOPHYLLITE Apophyllite encourages calm attitude, tranquilty and honesty. Helps to reduce fears, inner pressures and to overcome anxiety and worries. Helpful in healing respiratory problems, especially asthma. Colors are white, yellow and bluish-green.

	AQUAMARINE Aquamarine is a light blue to green member of the beryl family. Easy on the eyes, it is also calming, soothing, inspirational, hopeful, balancing for fluids in the body, lucky for marine travel. Encourages spiritual growth, well being, clairvoyance and a good memory.

	AVENTURINE Usually found in shades of green, this is a type of quartz with mica inclusions. I carry the blue, green and red. A strong healer for the physical body, alleviates doubt, anxiety, stress. It’s also believed to be a lucky stone for adventure in that it stimulates dreaming and making dreams come true.

	Blue Aventurine has many of the same beneficial effects as the green. Additionallly, Blue Aventurine provides reflective qualities enabling us to recognize the flaws of our humanity.

	Green Aventurine can reveal what makes us happy or unhappy. It can help to fortify our own determination and individuality. It also encourages dreaming and making those dreams come true. Aventurine was used in ancient Tibet for nearsightedness, improving the wearer's perception, and stimulating creativity. Today it is considered a "lucky" stone in that it is a favorite gambler's talisman. It is also used in money attracting and abundance spell work.

	Red Aventurine has many of the same beneficial effects as the green. In addition, the Red can bring about an abundance of new ideas and enthusiasm. At the same time, it also allows us to take others suggestions in an accepting manner, and then incorporate those things into expanded thinking, further enhancing the creative process.

	AZURITE Azurite is a copper based gem, soft and not always available for jewelry work. It is primarily a deep, rich blue that is often found with green malachite. Promotes wisdom, spiritual awareness, psychic ability, is balancing for the body and is also quite potent and energizing for healing on all planes. It reveals and gets rid of imprints from the past that have been taken on unconciously and were believed to be true.

	BLACK ONYX Black Onyx absorbs negativity, protects from harm, encourages self-control and all sorts of abstention. While encouraging self-realization, it aids in pursuing our own goals with determination and is particularly suited for those who may be easily influenced or lead. It is also beneficial for centering and aligning the whole person with the higher powers.

	BLOODSTONE Bloodstone (also known as Heliotrope) is probably one of the most famous in the jasper family, this stone is most often a dark green with red and yellow spots and swirls. Extremely good for all sorts of physical problems. Excellent for invigorating the body and raising all energy levels. Heliotrope can be very calming in cases of irritability, aggressiveness and impatience. It also does well to revitalize in cases of exhaustion and tiredness and can stimulate dream activity.

	BRONZITE Bronzite is also known as the "Courtesy Stone," it promotes loving and unprejudiced discernment in the user. It also provides the stimulus for decisiveness in things that are unresolved in ones life.

	CALCITE Comes in a variety of colors. Generally, it bestows stability, trust in ourselves and constancy. It encourages the ability to transform ideas into actions. Optical calcite (clear) is great for enhancing memory (removing forgetfulness).

	Blue Calcite aids the process of a peaceful change for the beginning of spiritual growth. It brings a quiet knowing of what is needed to proceed.

	Emerald or Green Calcite enables us to reach out for help in the release of emotional grief in relationships, especially from childhood traumas. It can also assist, when appropriate, in forgiveness in relationship problems and can provide a release from emotional codependancy.

	Honey Calcite enables us to bring back the enjoyment of the warmth of caring attitudes from cold or unfeeling thoughts. It provides a feeling of being grounded and safe.

top of page	Optical Calcite assists in finding the duality in spiritual matters and can be reflective, like a magick mirror, showing shortcomings and strengths without a judging attitude. Great for enhancing memory (removing forgetfulness).

	Orange Calcite provides a good effect in speeding spiritual development and bringing about the belief in truly being able to create a positive turn in our lives. Renews a trust in ourselves and provides stability and constancy. Their purpose provides transformation and allows us to take risks at finding some new fun, inside and out.

	Pink Calcite aids our discovery of the love for humanity. It encourages us to be helpful, open and attain peace in a gentle, soft manner. It also aids us in remembering our state of "perfection."

	CARNELIAN Carnelian is an orange to peach colored chalcedony. Utilized in many ancient Middle East civilizations for a direct link between body and spirit, strength of will, determination, success, and rulership.

	CELESTITE Celestite is light blue in color. Heals the aura and astral body and aligns them. Fosters connection and ability to work with Goddesses, spirit guides, and angels. Evokes peace, manifests the element of water and the ability to flow with life.

	CHALCEDONY Chalcedony encourages brotherhood among all and is beneficial in balancing the energy of body, mind and spirit. It represents both aspects of communication- the ability to listen and understand, and to communicate effectively.

	CHRYSOCOLLA Chrysocolla is a beautiful sky blue to deep turquoise colored stone that often occurs with malachite or azurite. It is quite soft and not always suited to cutting and polishing. This is a stone that aids creativity, self expression, communication, harmony, and joy.

	CHRYSOPRASE Chrysoprase encourages a calm and contemplative view of life and is especially suited to gentle people who have shades of pale blue in their aura.

	CITRINE Citrine is pale yellow to deep gold This member of the Quartz family is useful in steadying the nerves, clearing thoughts, communication, warmth, cheer, energizing, and realization of one’s Higher Self. Resolves negativity and is one of the few stones that clears itself.

	COPPER Grounds incoming spiritual energies, removes others symptoms from ones energy, cleanses the body of old negative emotions and offers emotional protection in crowds.

	CORAL Corals most available colors are white, red and pink. A truly organic substance, this fossilized skeleton of a sea creature has been used extensively world wide for throat and lung ailments, protection from evil, and as a balancer between the physical and emotional bodies.
