    Crystal System...
    Green Aventurine has a trigonal crystal system and is a member of the Quartz family. Its sparkly, green appearance comes from deposits of Fuchsite (chromium mica). Red and blue varieties are available as well.

    Aventurine has been found to have a natural affinity with the thymus gland, so it's not surprising that it helps to promote proper growth during the first seven years of a child's development. Its ability to soothe and balance seems to have a very positive influence during a child's period of constant discovery and stimulation. Because it is a gentle healer, whether child or adult, it imparts a positive influence in every aspect of life.
