Finish Your To-Do List

As I pushed through a busier than normal schedule over the past month, I found I was grabbing one of these as I set off for my day. I had just received a batch for the first time and didn't know all it would provide. If you'd like a Golden Ray of 'we can do this' energy, then this is definitely one to consider. You can find them here -->.

3rd or Solar Plexus Chakra
Color of yellow
Sanskrit: Manipura

Activating this chakra and its vibration will assist in strengthening willpower, aids in becoming more confident or assertive, and assists in discovering what we really want in our life.

The Crystal System...

Yellow Apatite’s name comes from the Greek term apatao, which means to deceive. The main reason for this name for all Apatite's is due to it being mistaken for other gems. Originally found in a particular area of Mexico where it was mined out, it has now been found in many locations all over the world, including United States, Canada, Norway, Russia, and Brazil.

Yellow Apatite has a Hexagonal crystal system and is in the family of the Apatite Supergroup. Specifically, the Belovite Group. It is a honey yellow to a greenish yellow in it's coloring. Generally it grows in columns but when a bit of phosphate was contained in it's mix they can sprout tiny leaf crystals that are very opaque.

Application...

I had remembered reading somewhere to hold a piece on your Solar Plexus Chakra during meditation or ritual. So, I gave it a whirl. It seemed to shine a golden light into my sacred center. This is where our power lies, the source of our will. While envisioning it growing brighter and brighter, give thanks for all that you’ve already accomplished, and seek strength for all that you have left to complete. I was charged up and ready to get moving onto what was next on my to-do list. Pretty awesome!

Spiritually...

Yellow Apatite is an awesome one to use for spiritual understanding. It helps us connect with the Divine and to base our choices and actions upon Divine guidance. In connecting our passions and dreams with the steps necessary to manifest those dreams, rather than just relying on our own personal will, but instead, that of the Divine, much can be manifested.

Emotionally...

Yellow Apatite is a positive force that instills hope and optimism. It can release old blocks that may have limited our acceptance of prosperity or abundance and to also overcome the fear of success. In healing negative patterns, it provides the extra energy needed for creative thought and the action needed to achieve our goals.

Mentally...

Yellow Apatite encourages the development of deeper states of meditation and reflection by providing a mental calmness. It provides an inner clarity, peace, and oneness with the higher-self.

Physically...

Yellow Apatite has been known to help heal bones and teeth, repair cartilage/joint issues, and improve posture. It can also assist in balancing the appetite and supports healthy eating. It is a great eliminator of toxins in the body, can stimulate metabolism and the endocrine system, improves mobilizing our energy reserves, and can enhance the effects of exercise.

Zodiac Affinity...

Yellow Apatite seems to have no special affinity with any particular sign but benefits all. Its Energy is Projective and Receptive, its Planet is Earth and its Element is Fire.

Folklore...

Yellow Apatite honours several Goddesses. Persephone, Greek Goddess of Spring who represents celebration and the Earth alive with new growth. And Gaia, the Greek Earth Mother Goddess. She was born directly out of Chaos, the primal emptiness and was the first (or one of the first) beings to appear during the process of creation. She is honoured as being the Earth itself.

Hi there! I'm the owner of Howl at the Moon Gems. I have been infatuated with crystals and gems since I was a child when my maternal grandfather was my first teacher of the natural world. He taught me a lot of the old ways as to uses of herbs, purposes of tree woods, and gave me my first unofficial stone classes. A lot of time has passed since those early days ... and, while I have learned much, I am still learning.
