Sanskrit: Swadhisthana

Grounds, reduces stress by decreasing sensitivity. Protects in war and danger. Shields and closes the chakra by grounding its energy into the earth. Crystal System...

Tiger Iron has a Trigonal crystal system, is formed in a tertiary manner and is in the mineral class of Oxides. It is formed by a metamorphic process from rock containing iron and quartz.

It's layers are made when Jasper, Hematite and Tiger's Eye have been influenced by tectonic displacements. In combining these three base stones it creates a fourth one with its own special properties and beautiful variations as shown.

Application...

Tiger Iron works very quickly when worn in contact with the skin. It works well to carry in your pocket or hold in your hand when extra energy or motivation is needed. Few other stones offer the unique combination of the strength and diversity this mighty threesome carries.

Folklore...

Tiger Iron and Tiger's Eye stones were used by the natives of Ceylon as a charm against evil spirits. Roman soldiers were known to have worn pieces of it engraved with symbols for protection during battle.

Since it has only been known by its current trade name of Tiger Iron for a short time there is not a lot of folklore linked to it specifically. It does appear to have the common theme of attracting abundance and protection though.
