This is a good one to use when you are sorting things out to make big decisions as it grounds us into actual truth, not what we imagine as truth. In this way we can accurately decide on the pros - or - cons involved in making our decision.

Crystal System...

Brown Aragonite has a rhombic crystal system and is in the mineral class of carbonates. It's coloring varies from white, pink, yelow, light green to brown. Each color seems to have its own unique characteristics. It can be formed both either a hydrothermal or a sedimentary process. It can also be formed as a sinter (a hard siliceous or calcareous deposit) in hot springs or through deposits of inorganic calcium in shallower waters. Many times Aragonite will eventually transform into Calcite but this takes 1000's and 1000's of years. It received it's name from the area of its discovery in Aragon, Spain.

Application...

Like many gems, Brown Aragonite is best used constantly over long periods of time. Carrying a tumbled stone in your pocket where you are apt to keep touching it, or, for the ladies, tucked in your bra, can provide an easy way to stay in contact with it's energies.

Spiritually...

Brown Aragonite helps to stabilize spiritual developments that may be moving too fast. While some may enjoy speeding along at break neck speeds, when this becomes excessive we can experience a decrease or entire loss of interest.

Emotionally...

Brown Aragonite is a great aid in calming us when we come over sensitive, have inner restlessnes or nervous twitching. It's a great one for helping us feel physically well in our own body.

Mentally...

Brown Aragonite offers us flexibility and tolerance as choices. If our behavior is erratic, it gently guides us to keep our concentration focused on what is actually before us.

Physically...

Brown Aragonite is a stabilizer. It assists in regulating the metabolism of calcium, encourages building up and elasticity of our spine, and stimulates muscle activity. It is also beneficial in strengthening our immune system and can help with digestive issues.

Zodiac Affinity...

Brown Aragonite has a special affinity with Aries, Taurus, Scorpio and Capricorn but benefits all signs, has a Receptive Energy, it's Planet is the Moon and its Element is Earth.

Folklore...

It is said that to arrive at a group concensus, provide each person with a tumbled Aragonite stone and find a larger one to place in the center of your group. All in the group should focus silently on the center stone and on respect for all viewpoints of those involved. Then, one by one, share your viewpoints peacefully to arrive at a peaceful consensus. I have not tried this technique myself but will do so if the situation arises. Since this one is so good at revealing truth, the process makes sense. And, it certainly can't hurt for everyone to stop and take a breath.
